Are Kavaro seat covers made of genuine leather?
No — we use premium PU leather (synthetic), not animal hide. We market it as "Nappa-style" because it's engineered to look and feel like genuine Nappa leather, but it's a high-grade polyurethane material.
We never claim "100% genuine leather" because we believe in being transparent. For automotive use, premium PU is actually preferred by brands like Tesla and BMW — it's waterproof, temperature-stable, and zero-maintenance, whereas real leather absorbs spills and cracks in extremes.
What's the difference between PU leather and real Nappa leather?
Real Nappa leather: Animal hide, requires conditioning, absorbs spills, costs $1,500–$3,000 for car-grade. Best for heirloom furniture.
Our premium PU: Synthetic, 100% waterproof, vegan, zero-maintenance, $219 retail. Looks and feels indistinguishable to 99% of passengers.
For daily-driven cars, PU is the smarter choice. Real leather is gorgeous in living rooms but terrible at handling coffee spills and 100°F summer days.
How durable are the seat covers?
Our premium PU leather is built to outlast most vehicles:

Is the material vegan?
Yes — 100% vegan. No animal hide, no animal-derived adhesives or dyes. Suitable for vegetarian, vegan, and animal-welfare-conscious customers.
Will it smell like chemicals when it arrives?
Brand-new PU leather has a faint "new car" scent that fades within 3–5 days of installation. We use low-VOC manufacturing, so it's safe and non-toxic — but if you're sensitive, we recommend airing out the covers for a day before install.

Will it fit my specific car?
Our covers are custom-fit for over 1,000 vehicle models — cars, SUVs, and trucks. When ordering, you'll select your Year, Make, and Model, and we'll match the cut to your exact seat shape.

Are they compatible with side airbags?
Yes — fully airbag-compatible. Our covers include precision-engineered airbag release seams that deploy correctly in a collision. Each design is tested to meet automotive safety standards.
Can I buy only ONE seat cover (single)?
Our covers are sold as front pair sets (driver + passenger). Single-seat purchases aren't standard because:
- Each pair is cut from the same leather batch for identical color matching
- Splitting them risks color variation between your two front seats
If you only need one, email us at info@kavaro.store with your make/model/year — we can sometimes ship a single from spare inventory at a discounted price, case-by-case.
Do you have a plain (non-quilted) version?
Our current production uses the diamond-quilted pattern as the signature design across all colors. A plain perforated version isn't in our catalog today.
If you'd prefer subtle texture, our Elegant Beige and Classic Black colors have the lowest stitching visibility — the diamond pattern reads as soft texture rather than bold accent.

How many seats does one order cover?
Each order includes 2 front seat covers (driver + passenger). Rear bench covers are sold separately for select vehicles — contact us for availability.
What colors are available?

How long does installation take?
30 minutes for both front seats, even for first-timers. No tools required. Each set includes step-by-step printed instructions plus a link to our video tutorial.
Do I need a mechanic or installer?
No — installation is fully DIY. 95% of our customers install themselves at home. If you prefer professional installation, most local auto upholstery shops will install for $40–$60.
Will it slip or come loose during driving?
Each cover has anti-slip silicone backing, elastic straps with secure buckles, and tight-fit cutouts for headrests and belt slots. Once installed, they stay locked in place even on highways and rough terrain.

Where do you ship from?
Kavaro is a US-based brand. Production happens at our partner facility, then ships via expedited carriers to your door. All US orders are delivered by USPS, UPS, or FedEx depending on your zip code.
Can I expedite shipping?
Yes — express shipping (7–10 days total) is available at checkout for an additional fee. For urgent gift deadlines (Father's Day, Christmas), we strongly recommend ordering at least 3 weeks ahead.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to Canada, UK, EU, Australia, and select countries. International rates and delivery times calculated at checkout (typically 25–35 days total). Buyer is responsible for import duties.

What's your return policy?
30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied for any reason, send the covers back within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.

- Covers must be unused or lightly tested

How do I start a return?
Email info@kavaro.store with your order number and reason for return. We'll respond within 24 hours with a return authorization number and shipping address.
How fast is the refund?
Once we receive your return at our warehouse, refund is processed within 3–5 business days. Funds typically appear in your bank/card within 5–10 days depending on your bank.
What does the 2-year warranty cover?
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects: stitching failure, peeling, color fading, zipper malfunction, etc. It does NOT cover:
- Damage from sharp objects, pets, or abuse
- Improper installation
- Color changes from harsh chemicals
To claim warranty, email us with photos and order number.
What if my cover arrives damaged?
Email us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage. We'll ship a replacement immediately at no charge — no need to return the damaged one.

How do I clean spills and stains?
Our PU leather is 100% waterproof — most spills wipe off in 10 seconds.

- Avoid: bleach, ammonia, harsh chemical cleaners, leather conditioners (not needed)
Are the covers machine washable?
No — we recommend spot cleaning only. The PU leather and foam padding aren't designed for full submersion. Spot cleaning handles 99% of normal wear.
Do I need to apply leather conditioner?
No — unlike genuine leather, PU doesn't dry out or crack from lack of conditioning. Avoid leather conditioning products; they can leave residue on the synthetic surface.
How do I protect from pet damage?
While our covers resist pet hair and minor scratches, sharp claws can still puncture PU leather over time. For frequent pet passengers, we recommend our optional pet liner add-on (available separately).
